Chocolate Star Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. butter & Crisco (1/2 each)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- A pinch of cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. flour
Directions
Mix as usual. Roll in small balls. Press down with a glass dipped in powdered sugar. Press a chocolate star in the middle of each cookie as soon as removed from oven — return to oven until star softens just a little. Bake cookies in oven at a moderate temp.
