Rod Stewart pushes back tour to finish new album

Rob Stewart is postponing his upcoming spring tour in order to put the finishing touches to his next album.

The “Maggie May” hitmaker was due to kick off his Live the Life trek with rocker Steve Winwood in Chicago on April 10, but the dates have now been pushed back so Stewart can perfect his forthcoming release.

A post on Stewart’s official website states, “To accommodate the finishing pre-production and spring promotion of his first original rock studio album in almost 20 years, Rod Stewart has pushed back his Spring tour with Steve Winwood – which will now begin in October.”

Fans have been urged to keep hold of their tickets, which will be honoured at the rescheduled concerts.

Stewart has not yet announced a release date for his as-yet-untitled album.
