John Corbett is making his second foray into country music seven years after releasing his first album.

The “Sex and The City” star’s first, self-titled record hit shelves in 2005 and Corbett originally intended to present a follow-up soon afterwards, but his hectic schedule got in the way.

He finally launched “Leaving Nothin’ Behind” on Saturday, but admits the release comes four years behind schedule.

He tells Country Weekly magazine, “Honestly, I waited too long. I wanted to make another record about three years after I made the first one. It’s been seven years. I made it in ’05 right around Thanksgiving and I wanted to make another one three years later, but life gets in the way.”
