Neal Schon's bodyguard arrested at airport

Journey rocker Neal Schon's bodyguard was arrested at a New York City airport on Sunday after allegedly travelling with a weapon.

Schon and his reality TV star girlfriend Michaele Salahi were catching a flight out of LaGuardia Airport when they were detained by Port Authority Police and Transportation Security Administration chiefs, who found a gun in the pair's luggage.

The rocker's bodyguard reportedly then stepped in to correct officials, explaining the bag belonged to him. He was later taken into custody as concealed weapon permit holders aren't authorised to carry a firearm in an airport.

According to TMZ, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
